The Sitar Project, is a world music project for the diversity of performing and visual art. An idea brought to creation in 2012; the Sitar Project was born out of a passionate desire to take Indian classical & world music to the international platform with an audience that spans across the young and the old, the elite and the liberal; the traditional and the modern.
The Sitar Project is a concept with a deep-seeded sense of traditionalism and through this love for all things Indian, to introduce, explore and enhance the experience of the Sitar across different cultures and mindsets. It is no less than a World Music Project, which celebrates the cultural diversity in performance and visual arts. To put it shortly, the Sitar Project is the coming together of Indian tradition and modern freedom of expression, in the form of music.
